Initial set up of Moku WiFi connection

Initial set up of Moku WiFi connection

When your Moku is powered on for the first time, it will be in its factory default state, broadcasting a Wireless Access Point with both USB and Ethernet enabled. (Moku:Go M0 and M1 models don't have an Ethernet port.)

To start configuring your Moku, you can either connect to its Access Point or use a USB cable.

The screenshot in this guide was taken using the Moku Windows app, but the steps are applicable to macOS and iPad as well.

Join Moku's Wireless Access Point network

  1. The instructions of connecting to Moku's Access Point can be found here.
  2. Launch the Moku App, right-click the Moku device icon on the "Select your device" screen and click “Configure device”.
  3. Navigate to the WiFi tab and check "Join a WiFi network" to enable the WiFi connection. Enter the details of the WiFi network which you wish the Moku to join. You will be prompted to enter a password for that network if required.

  1. Next, connect your computer to the same WiFi network. Relaunch the Moku App, which will search for Moku hardware on the network. Your Moku device should now appear, connected to the same WiFi network.
