With the release of MokuOS 4.4, the Moku:Delta Data Logger can now align its timestamps with Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), allowing multiple Moku's to share a common time reference which makes correlating data from multiple devices easier. UTC timestamping requires use of the GNSS antenna, and synchronization with a GNSS reference.
The first step is to connect the GNSS antenna to the ‘ANT’ port on the GNSS receiver on the back of the Moku. This will allow the Moku:Delta to receive GNSS signals and synchronize with a satellite. Next, navigate to the Data Logger, open up the menu on the top left of the screen, and select ‘Clock blending configuration’. In the ‘Clock blending configuration’ screen, make sure ‘GNSS’ is selected as the source and turn on the reference. After a few seconds the Moku:Delta will lock to the satellite; the light will be green once locked.

At this point, the Moku:Delta is ready to collect UTC timestamped data. To do this, start a data log like normal and download the data. The log header now includes the UTC time at which logging began. To find the UTC time of any sample, add its timestamp to this start time.
